Our Mission
At Ready Set Prep, our mission is to empower ambitious learners to achieve academic excellence, build lifelong confidence, and develop a deep, enduring intellectual curiosity. Founded on over a decade of personal experience supporting children into London’s most competitive independent schools, we combine expert one-to-one tuition, dynamic group classes, and global online provision to deliver high-quality, structured learning.
We are committed to guiding each child with purpose, resilience, and joy – preparing them not only for entrance exams, but for a lifetime of intellectual growth and academic success.
How we teach - and why it works
Our approach is rooted in three principles: structure, clarity, and confidence. We aim to equip learners not just with knowledge, but with the skills and mindset needed to thrive in academically demanding settings.
Structure, Progressive Learning
We follow a clear sequence of teaching that aligns with and extends beyond the English National Curriculum. Concepts are introduced progressively, reinforced through practice, and applied in increasingly complex contexts – mirroring the expectations of top independent schools.
Skills for Selective Assessments
We develop the essential competencies required for entrance exams, including:
Reading comprehension
Creative and formal writing
Number fluency and problem-solving
Verbal and non-verbal reasoning
Mental agility
Examination technique and time management
Confidence and Intellectual Curiosity
We teach children how to think: analysing, explaining, questioning, and reflecting. Our sessions build confidence while encouraging independence and a sense of ownership over learning..
Meaningful Feedback and Parent Partnership
Parents receive regular, clear feedback outlining progress, targets, and next steps. We guide families through the wider admissions landscape, offering advice on school choices, timelines, interview expectationsand home support.
In-Person and Online Excellence
Online lessons mirror the structure and quality of our in-person teaching. Whether a child joins us from South Kensington or Singapore, they receive the same high standard of preparation and personalised attention.
